Your chauffeur guide can collect you from any of Scotland’s major airports or rail stations or hotels in either main city of Glasgow or Edinburgh. From Glasgow or Edinburgh, make your way to the west coast via the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and then the intimidating valley of Glen Coe, generally considered one of the best touring roads in Great Britain.

Return to the mainland today and head north-east into the historic region of Sutherland with potential stops including the picturesque village of Plockton and scenic Strathcarron. Your destination is the old county town of Dornoch with its historic cathedral and Championship golf course.

Balmoral is the most obvious attraction here and is open to the public when the King is not staying. However, surrounding Aberdeenshire is home to many other castles too and is in fact home to more castles than any other UK county! There are also scenic drives, whisky distilleries and pleasant villages to explore.

Head south from Braemar over dramatic Glenshee before swooping down into the ancient burgh of Perth, home to historic Scone Palace and the famed Stone of Destiny in the Perth Museum. From there, you may wish to visit the newly revitalised city of Dundee with its historic waterfront and V&A Museum before making your way across the Tay Road Bridge to the Kingdom of Fife and historic St Andrews.
