Meanwhile nearby Wexford is a pretty town, with a wealth of arts and crafts, and a good place to wander.
Day Three to Six – Baltimore, County Cork
Continue south, following the Wild Atlantic Way, to the village of Baltimore, with its bustling natural harbour a haven for yachts and ferries to local islands, as well as offering a range of excellent restaurants and friendly bars.
Your Hotel
Located on the on the outskirts of the village, this traditional inn features a bar area crammed with memorabilia of years gone by, leading into a bright and airy restaurant. Dine on sumptuously fresh seafood as you gaze out to the boats bobbing on the water, or chat over a Murphy’s with the locals. Rooms are extremely spacious, and neatly decorated with splashes of cheery colours. A feeling of being beside the seaside pervades the hotel.
What to See and Do
There is so much to enjoy in this area, from peaceful walks to dramatic headlands, so we allow you some time to explore this rather special corner of West Cork. You will have plenty of time to explore on your own, perhaps heading further west to the village of Schull, with its colourful craft shops, drive to Mizen Head, visit the imposing Bantry House and estate, or enjoy one the numerous coastal walks around the Baltimore area.
Moonlight Kayaking
During your stay experience something unique and phenomenal as you kayak under the starlit skies of West Cork. You will begin your paddle an hour before sun down, allowing you time to get used to your vessel with your group and guide. Gasp in awe at the delights the darkness unfolds from the elegant silhouettes of the seabirds resting ashore, the warm crimson sunset, the twinkling canopy overhead, the soft moonlight mirrored on the water, or, at certain times of year, the amazing bio-luminescence below. This truly a once in a lifetime magic experience you will both cherish forever.
Days Six to Eight – Fermoy, County Cork
Your trip is completed in a rather special hotel, a tranquil rural base.

The original building was a traditional Georgian home built in 1728 for a once Lord Chief Justice of Ireland, Sir Richard Pyne.
